Curricular Trends Over Time
Be it double majors or data analysis minors, incoming Wesleyan students are continually diversifying their range of study.
“The ability to analyze quantitative and digital data quickly and accurately is more important than ever,” said Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Andrews Professor of Economics Joyce Jacobsen. “We’ve had great success with the QAC (Quantitative Analysis Center) and we want to build on that—so that every Wesleyan student has the chance to learn data analysis and computer coding in the liberal arts context. They are invaluable skills and, therefore, a big curricular priority for Wesleyan moving forward.”
