A Motion Picture Event
How is it that a small school in Connecticut has so many alumni working at the highest levels of the entertainment industry? Film studies faculty cite a rigorous major, strong student collaboration, the liberal arts tradition, a powerful on-campus film tradition, strong alumni support, and wide cross-listing with other departments. Talented students benefit from a creative, synergistic culture all Wesleyan’s own. This culture extends well into Hollywood and beyond, as evidenced by the iconic photograph from The Hollywood Reporter shown here (see key below), featuring only 33 of the scores of graduates shaping the present and future of television and film.
