The Method Gun: Producing Live Theater Online (Video)

In the Spring of 2020, Assistant Professor of Theater Katie Pearl directed a groundbreaking performance of The Method Gun on Zoom. She and her theater company of Wesleyan students had originally planned to perform the devised play on stage on campus, but when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the students to leave campus and quarantine at home, the group did what Wesleyans do best—they adapted. The result? A new kind of theater experience and a foray into the next generation of performance and art.
